About me

Hi, welcome to my fitness and wellbeing space

Jesse Lambert-Harden

I'm Jesse Lambert-Harden, a personal trainer, nutritionist and biomechanics/ movement coach based in Brighton & Hove.

I first joined a gym after leaving university in 2000.  Three years of solid drinking and partying had left me unfit, sluggish and suffering with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).  I decided that I wanted to lose weight, as I wasn't happy not being "skinny" anymore.  I joined a gym and Weight Watchers with the girls from work.  I lost lots of weight by simply not eating much, and taking fat burners that I bought from ebay that supressed my appetite.  At the time, being skinny (I hate that word) was all that really mattered in my head and I chose the wrong way to do it.  I didn't get the results that I wanted in the gym, because I didn't have any direction or energy due to lack of nutrients.  I don't want this to happen to you.

Today, I exercise to be strong, powerful, to relax and unwind and have time to be myself.  I nourish my body with mostly whole foods so that I have the flexibility to enjoy the not-so-optimal ones.  Restrictive and excessive dieting is boring, unsustainable and often unhealthy so I coach my clients to include their favourite foods and drinks without feeling guilty.

After a successful career in the Oil and Gas sector for many years I decided to take a new direction in an area I was passionate about: health and fitness.  In 2011 I obtained my first fitness qualification and I now work as a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach (Certified Body Type Nutrition Coach) and Biomechanics Trainer.

I started my own business in 2012 with a new baby in tow, little experience and to top it all off, in a new city, Brighton, which is where I am based today.    It has been a difficult journey,  especially after having a lucrative career travelling business (often first) class all over the world and being fiercely independent!

I now have two children under six and building up a business around them is a challenge but I have learned many lessons which, in turn, help me to provide my clients with advice from first hand experience.  Especially when it comes to looking after my health whilst juggling my business and family.

Why Bmore?

Bmore represents a message that life isn't all about numbers on scales, ripped abs or being defined by a diet.  It is about improving health and wellbeing as well as acheiving your goals.

I am passionate about delivering this message to my clients.  I don't believe in strict, rigid dieting or exercise regimes, instead choosing a flexibile and realistic approach. I recognise that all my clients are individual and work with them to gain an understanding of the best course of action for them.

My children keep me motivated to stay healthy and be a good role model.  They are also one of my main barriers and I've learned the art of juggling over the years (albeit dropping many times!), so I understand exactly how hard fitting it all in can be.

I offer a non-judgemental, empathetic and enjoyable health and fitness journey.  I hope to inspire you to be more and adopt a healthier, more balanced lifestyle at the same time as acheiving those goals, whatever they may be.
